ChattaVegan’s mission is one of inclusivity, equity, and respect; and those values extend to the spaces in which our community gathers. We must all work together to create an environment that is safe, comfortable, and welcoming for all individuals. By attending a ChattaVegan event, participants agree to abide by the following guidelines:

  • Respect is given to those of any age, disability, race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, faith, religion, neurodiversity, national origin, citizenship, social/economic class, and other identities represented in our community.

  • Respect is given to physical and emotional boundaries of all attendees. You are responsible for your own actions and should be aware that your actions have an effect on others, despite what your intentions may be. Listen and change your behavior if someone tells you that you are making them uncomfortable.

  • Inappropriate behavior is prohibited and includes—but is not limited to—sexual harassment or behavior that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, queerphobic, ableist, sizeist, xenophobic, and ageist. Violence of any kind is not tolerated.

  • If you are reported to have engaged in inappropriate behavior, you may be given a verbal warning and you may be asked to leave the event. If inappropriate behavior continues and/or is reported again, you may be prohibited from attending future ChattaVegan events.
