If you ask a local vegan what their favorite non-vegan spots are in town, Taco Mamacita is almost always on their list. Serving up a modern take on Mexican and Peruvian cuisine, their success in Chattanooga has translated to locations in both Nashville and South Carolina. The biggest thing that sets Taco Mamacita apart from other non-veg-specific restaurants is that they have their very own vegan menu which you can ask for upon being seated. It features a variety of tacos and salsas, along with amazing soup, salad, and enchilada entrees. Our personal favorites are the Avocado & Freakin' Vegan Tacos, but the Vegan Tortilla Soup (pictured above) also can't be missed. We applaud Taco Mamacita and its partner restaurants (Urban Stack and Milk & Honey) for going to such great lengths to create dishes that are veg-friendly. We are confident their continued success will be a testament to the viability of vegan dishes in the growing Chattanooga restaurant scene. Open at 11am daily and until 11pm on the weekends, Taco Mamacita is a great place for a family-friendly lunch or to unwind and grab drinks with friends.
